Workspace isolation
Each workspace's data is separated at the database level with row-level security, and checked again on the server.
Safe handling of uploads
Files are checked for executables, malicious PDF/Office content and known-malware hashes. Text inside documents is treated as untrusted, to resist prompt-injection attempts.
Two-factor login
TOTP two-factor authentication with hashed recovery codes. Admin actions are logged.

Each answer is built from passages retrieved from your documents, and shows the page it came from. If nothing relevant is found, the assistant says it doesn't have that information instead of guessing. No AI system is perfect, so review your answers.
PDF, DOCX, TXT and Markdown, plus web pages and website crawls. Files can be up to 20 MB, and very large documents are processed up to a limit of roughly 1.5 MB of text (about 150 to 300 pages). Please split larger documents.
We do not train models on your documents. When you index a document, its text is sent over an encrypted API to an embedding model (via the Lovable AI Gateway). When visitors chat, their question and the retrieved passages are sent to our inference providers (Groq, with the Lovable AI Gateway as fallback). Under these providers' published API terms, API inputs are not used to train their models.
Answers stream as they are written, and repeated questions are answered from a cache.
You can set your own name, colors and greeting, and hide the "Powered by DocuMind AI" label.
Each plan has monthly limits for messages, documents, crawled pages and domains. When the message limit is reached, the widget pauses until next month or until you upgrade. Upgrades are handled by us personally for now, there is no online checkout yet.
