1. The Service
DocuMind AI lets you upload documents, generate embeddings, configure an AI assistant, and embed a chat widget on your website. Features and quotas depend on the plan you select.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for any users you invite.
- You must be at least 18 or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to documents, prompts, chats, and other content you upload ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to operate the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload the content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or applicable law.
4. Acceptable use
You will not, and will not allow others to:
- Upload malware, illegal content, or content you do not have rights to.
- Attempt to extract secrets, bypass rate limits, or attack the Service.
- Use the Service to generate content that violates law, harasses people, or facilitates fraud.
- Resell the Service or expose the widget on domains you do not control.
5. AI output
The AI generates answers based on your documents and general model knowledge. Output may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
6. Fees and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance for the stated period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in writing.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers; changes take effect at the next renewal.
- Free plans may be rate-limited or suspended for abuse.
7. Refunds
If you cancel a paid plan you retain access until the end of the paid period. We may issue pro-rata refunds at our discretion where the Service was materially unavailable for reasons within our control.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, threaten the Service, or fail to pay. You may terminate at any time from the dashboard; termination stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid unless stated otherwise.
On termination we will delete Customer Content within 90 days, except where law requires longer retention.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party infrastructure and AI providers. Their availability and behaviour are outside our direct control. We select reputable providers but do not guarantee their services.
10. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period, or USD 100 if you are on a free plan. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Karachi, Pakistan, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply where you live.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.
